Brass Monkey

I was obsessed with Monchichis when I was a child. Remember those cute little monkey dolls? My poor family had to listen to the soundtrack about 900 times when we drove across Canada in the early 80's. Sorry about that guys. Today I've got monkeys on the brain. Here's a primate roundup.

Christopher Kane's SS09 collection was all about the monkey print which recently spawned a new collection of silk-jersey chimp, gorillia, mandrill and ye ol' baboon t-shirts. Kinda awesome. I totally want one. While the lovely Rachel Comey's Fall 2009 collection has an adorable rust coloured swinging monkey blouse. Very sweet. But if you want to really get Planet of the Apes on me, then you just have to get yourself a Shin Murayama Mandrill Nose. Why not? You'll look completely normal wearing it, I swear. Or if you're not in the mood to wear a monkey mask, then how about a Ninja sock monkey? He has his own throwing star so you know he's hard core too.
