Home Sweet Home

THIS IS WHERE I LIVE FIELDGUIDED
Montreal is a city fueled by cheese curds and hockey fanatics. It's the birth place of "Bye Bye Mon Cowboy" and it happens to be where I live. Recently I was asked to share a few photos of my humble Mile End apartment for Fieldguided, an amazing inspiration blog. Wanna see? Ya you do. Here's the link.

Computer Love

It's raining outside. And I'm not talking about a soft and calming pitter-patter but a full on monsoon. I swear the raindrops are the size of jujubes. It's the perfect evening for warm tea, homemade biscuits and catching up on my dearest blogs. I'd like to share my 3 favourite posts of the week sure to inspire. Spreading some link love ... enjoy and have a great weekend.

Check out the coolest visual cookbook from the geniuses at Ikea.
I am madly in love with this.

It's an animal kingdom on Oh Joy! Aren't these lamp critters amazing?
What a great find.

Pulp Fiction

Finally food, art and the internet are together at last in one delicious online magazine with all the trimmings (no fake bacon bits here people). Created by photographer and film maker Bon Duke, Pulp magazine is one sexy and entertaining digital destination. Go ahead and watch a 20 minute film about eating cake or see who can devour 8 bananas the fastest. Just don't forget your bib.

Lazy Sundays

Everybody's working for the weekend. Everybody's want a little romance...

I was recently asked to participate in a collective photography project by blogger superstar Laura of See Hear Say fame. Introducing How's your weekend – a series of lazy sundays submitted by people from across this little globe of ours. Have a sneak peek at how other creative types in Sweden, Melbourne and Hawaii are spending their free time. Now that's it's officially the weekend, better grab your camera and get crackin'. Loverboy is waiting!

PS Check out my first entry here. For my weekend I was lucky enough to be in Melbourne shooting all the crazy numbers and signs around the city. It was, as one reader put it, a Sesame Street moment!

Heart Attack

I'm feeling a tad sentimental. Perhaps it's because I'm in my hometown surrounded by family and friends who are dear to me. It's one big love-in filled with endless Champagne, late night dancing, salt air and generous hearts. Awe sucks, I am getting all soft in my old age. Here's a shout out to all the supportive amazing peeps near and far (you know who you are). So today, why not blow some kisses just for fun. Go ahead and try. And if you want a little more l'amour, check out these four blogs sure to bring back that loving feeling:

A submission based blog dedicated to love. Sigh...

See if you can spot my letter? This website makes you instantly feel like slow dancing at the tender age of 16.

Show me your heart. Photos from readers wanting to share the love.

It's Wild. Wild!

I'm a pretty big fan of Spike Jonze and can't wait to see his newest film Where The Wild Things Are. I was recently spending some quality time on the interwebs and found some blog lovin' at We Love You So. It's a fascinating collection of all the inspiration that have led to Jonze's film. Exciting! Find fun stuff like Giant Robot sketches, Mark Gonzales skating around and Geoff McFetridge hand lettering. Me thinks you'll like it.

Computer love

So I'm thinking the best way to ease into the week is with a little internet procrastination. That or hitting up the Orange Julep for some frothy juice goodness. So let's indulge in five great sites I found over the weekend then head to the Julep. Who's in?
--
1. Check Melanie's (you are my fave) new Tumblr site P is for Party. Yes, it is a party for your eyes.

2. It's a ginger explosion on Design*Sponge. Try some recipes by Lara Ferroni now that it is summer.

3. Feel like dancing? I do. Shake a tail feather to Red Rash podcasts.

4. When you need a little design inspiration have a boo at some great typo/graphic posters.

5. Spend some time with Windy Days. A visually stunning collection of web treats.

+ photo of the Julep by Montreal's Jaime LeBlanc (another link to check out too. Bonus!).
