You may have heard about the film Helvetica – a little ditty on the classic typeface celebrating it's 50th birthday. And now the same team have produced what looks like an interesting feature-length documentary about our relationship with manufactured objects and the people who design them. Have a look at the trailer. C'est cool.
The film premiered at SXSW film festival earlier this year but if you're a design nerd like me and can't wait to check it out, then you're in luck. A screening in Montreal will be on June 12. Mark your moleskin day planners folks. And for those not living in Montreal, here's a list of screenings in other major cities.
Besides, isn't the poster just fantastic? It was designed by the people at Build – making the world beautiful one tiny object at a time.

Ok, that sounds freaking awesome. I do!
I know... it makes me so happy to see great films are being produced about design.
