Hats Off

Word up! I'm Panama bound... off to check out the marvels of the canal while chilling out with the sloths and monkeys of Central America (with a Panama hat of course). Here's a little Van Halen action to send me on my way. Sing it David Lee Roth, "PANAMA!"

PS Guess what? Ecuador is the real home of the classic straw hat, but we can always pretend, right?

Breakfast Club

3 days off = 3 delicious breakfasts. It's been months since the last Breakfast Club. I've been on the go running to work with a piece of toast in hand – not exactly photogenic. So this weekend I took to time to make brunch every morning and ate every last bite without interruption. Heaven.

The Breakfast Club Menu
THE DECADENT Three berry baked brioche french toast with mimosas (um, yes!) THE FRENCHIE Homemade warm buttery croissants with fresh OJ THE CLASSIC Organic bacon, cheesy scrambled eggs and Adrian's super amazing homefries with a side of Architectural Digest.

Musical Chairs

I was checking out a bunch of new work from Sarah Illenberger this evening and I came across her crazy cute stop motion chair animations. They're super fun. Check them out here on a site simply called Chairs. Move over Bob Fosse, these designer chairs might just choreograph the jazz hands off you.
When on www.chairs-design.com click your favourite chair and watch it rock out.

PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE DAY NICK MEEK
I'm smitten by Nick Meek's photography. I can't resist the limited colour palette and beautiful composition of his work. The best part is the wookie slash sasquatch in the first photo. Can you spot it? It's rather amazing.

Originally spotted on Colette.

Nautical by Nature

Ahoy, matey!
Check out these rad posters from the German sailing festival, Kieler Woche. Arrr, those be lo'ely works o' art Aye, me parrot concurs (said in Pirate speak).

Each year 5 designers are invited to submit their graphic interpretation of sailing & culture. The only criteria is the text must be limited to the festival's title and the year. It's no surprise to see graphic design superstars like Hort, Melchior Imboden, Wim Crouwel, Anton Stankowsk and Michael Engelmann have all contributed. Yar. It's regatta time! Check out more here.
