I'm home for the holidays. From Vancouver to Chemainus to Nanoose Bay and back I've seriously had a culinary mash-up of izakaya, Dutch tarts, beefy beef and chicken with waffles. It's mouth vibes west coast styles! Cheers to laying low and eating far too many delicious treats with friends and family. Gettin' fat y'all. It's a good thing my feet didn't get chubby so I could buy Rachel Comey loafers. I have a crush on Swedish photographer Julia Hetta's romantic, dark and poetic work. Her photography is so painterly and silently expressive – very reminiscent of 17th century Dutch Masters. Julia's work has been published in Acne Paper, Another Magazine and Dossier Journal. Love. Love. Love.

I'm on a sugar detox. Yes, no sugar. It's hard to imagine since I have the world's biggest sweet tooth. So I guess you could say this is an ironic slash personal torture blog post. But if I can't eat it, I can always take photos of it, right?

I don't know if Texas is some wacky vortex of Candy's past, but I found all these crazy treats at the grocery store. I'm Canadian so maybe these are totally normal elsewhere? All I know is I love the packaging and the sweet sweet contents inside. Oh sugar sugar! Oh honey honey!

I couldn't be more excited about being featured in NYLON Korea's December issue. Clearly they know what's up. And I'm in good company with the talented Jorge Camarotti, Kandle and Julien Vallée gracing the 6 page story about Montreal's creative community. And the best part is my amazing and handsome dog Mick is even featured. Yes Mick is the sh*t in Korea for obvious cute overload reasons. Now, let's bust out the bibimbap and kimchi and party, party!

I can't get Lana Del Ray's Video Games out of my head. I've been signing it for weeks. To me, it's what Marfa sounds like – a little sexy, a lot dusty, heart breaking and tumble weed friendly. It's the song that lulled me to sleep, drowning out the train whistle. Dreaming of two-step, full moons and loaded Winchesters. 

I went a little camera crazy this trip and took something like 19887766 photos, some of which will be on a Call It Spring Tumblr for the spring/summer season. I couldn't resist to post a little more. Here's part dos of postcards from Marfa.
